Kinis began as a project focused on creating barefoot shoes, driven by a desire to honor the natural design of the human body. The human body, particularly the foot, is an extraordinary example of evolutionary engineering. As we started to dig deeper, we quickly realized that this was just the beginning. There was a significant lack of products that effectively support lower body health. This gap has resulted in over 60 million Americans suffering from foot problems, with millions of elderly individuals reporting falls each year, still not receiving adequate care.
In 2022, our team embarked on a journey to research and develop proprietary biosensors to capture continuous movement data throughout the day. We have successfully built and tested our first prototype and taken a significant step in validating this data against laboratory gold standards.
